Upon first glimpse at this young up & coming 18 year old funkstylist who's known as Shonnie to close family and friends. You would never suspect that he leads a double life through an alter-ego who rips beats for fun. When this alter ego takes shape he becomes Shonn Boog. It would seem Shonn Boog was destined to dance, I guess you could say genetics played a HUGE factor here. You see, Shonn comes from a family of dancers that include: Boogaloo Sam, his uncle who just so happened to create Poppin' & Boogaloo style, another uncle who goes by Tickin' Deck, a cousin known as Skeeter Rabbit & his father, the Legendary Popin' Pete.

Shonn's first step towards carrying the torch into the future came about at the age of 6 where he performed with his dad during a Toni Basil show. At that time Shonn didn't quite realize that he was part of a rich heritage. That was until he began attending the bboy/funkstyle choreographed show "Madhatten" at the New York, New York Hotel & Casino

In Las Vegas, Madhatten starred the likes of: Remind, Wicket, Flomaster, Zee Boogie, Popin' Pete, Skeeter Rabbit and fellow Rock Steady Crew members: Mr. Wiggles, Mr. Freeze, Floor Rock and Suga Pop. It was during his visits to the show Madhatten that Shonn became close friends with another aspiring funkstylist, none other than Wiggles' son Unico Clemente. Shonn is quoted as stating, "Unico was the main person to inspire me to step it up and take this dance more seriously." And that is exactly what Shonn Boog intends to do. He's already off to a great start, creating memorable highlights to his dancing resume. Beginning with his infamous win alongside his poppin'crew The Lil' Boogz at last year's "How Tha West Was Won" funkstyles event. Shonn Boog is also a member of The Electric Boogaloos (3 years and counting). And if that isn't already impressive, Shonn Boog was recently inducted into The World Famous Rock Steady Crew alongside friend and Lil' Boogz crewmate Unico. Shonn Boog has also won Outstanding New Street Dancer Award at The 2nd Annual Hip Hop Awards. So with all his prior accomplishments behind him and a vast array of opportunity to acquire new ones, things seem to be "On & Poppin' " for the young man known as Shonn Boog.
